Wonderful dramatic opening, the voice of a black woman in all her honesty, vulnerability and openess. And then one of the fiercest tracks of Zulu, total hardcore: 'Now they are through with me', full of twists and turns, and suddenly ending in a kind of soul-track, brilliant! This is 21st century music at it's best. The end lecture is dramatic and disturbing, spoken again by a black woman. Makes you think.

When you hear a ZULU album, you don't just hear blackness, you hear all te spectrums of it from the anger to the celebration to the need to be free in their ownership of themselves, their history and their future. A New Tomorrow is meant to uplift themselves and their people, and tear down that which seeks to destroy and ridicule black life for entertainment value. It's hardecore, jazz, soul, hip hop, it is all relevant to who ZULU is and their vision as a band.
